Giving Tuesday marked a worldwide day to give to those less fortunate. At the Henry Hosea House at 901 York Street in Newport, locals did just that.
“The thing is we’re a very small non-profit.” board president Steve Ader said.
Ader said one thing they've really started to participate in over the last few years is Giving Tuesday. He said it's a good way to help not just this organization, but others worldwide through the global fundraiser.
"It’s for all non-profits. It’s an excellent way to raise money at a very, very insignificant cost," Ader said.
